    kicking yourself...

i'm curious -- what spyderco knives do you kick yourself about not buying when you had the chance? ie., when they were relatively cheap (on closeout or special) and still available.

    for me, i'd say:
    -- the earlier centofantes
    -- shabaria
    -- WALKER ALMITE (ugh, ugh)
    -- SE lum chinese

current close-out spydies i'd like to get before they vanish...
    -- spot
    -- ATR
    -- R2
    -- karambit
    -- yojimbo

too bad cash is so limited...

I did get one, but should have gotten at least 2. Didn't realize how much I would love this knife. Should have picked up a few Spots at the same time since they were only $19.99. I don't really like the Spot, but $19.99 is too good.
My wife got me a green Chinese folder BNIB from some website for $115 less than a year ago. She said that when she ordered it, they had both PE and SE in stock. If I had known, I would have liked to get more than one. By the time she gave it to me, they had all sold out.

There isn’t any symbolism. The sea is the sea. The old man is an old man. The boy is a boy and the fish is a fish. The shark are all sharks no better and no worse. All the symbolism that people say is ****.

The same here, plus Dodo and Temperance at the same place.
One time there were many Viele2 on e-bay for about $60 and I got only 2. One of them for my father-in-law. Should get a couple more, but I did not.

Red face Would have, could have, should have

I wish I had bought at least 4 of the C-56 Zowada models with VG-10 blade steel when they were available for the very brief time you could get them . I love spear point blades. I am currently on a serious quest for a C-50 Centofante II for a user as well. Working closely with a good Spyder brother on that one as we speak .

I also wish I would have bought at least 2 each of the Stainless Rescue models i.e. the C-14 & C-45. Those stainless RESCUES I think are the most solid built Spyders ever made. I also wish I would have had the foresight when I renewed a CD back in 98 to have put all that money in all of the C-27 Jess Horn models that I could have got my hands on .

Last but not least I get mad at myself on a regular basis for not getting one of those Spyderco bread knives model K01SBK I never could figure why some of those Spyderco kitchen knives never sold well. Because all of the Spyderco culinary knives I have are top notch.

    of late, the FB temperance.

earlier, right out ot high school, before i knew the value of a knife:
Lum Chinese and Tanto, Shabaria, Dyad Jr., Zowoda, Herbst, origional Chinook,

i had my 2002 catalog right in front of me, and i just posted all the knives that were circled...

Original Jess Horn. I had the spydie bug, and given a summer's hard work, enough cash. I figured at the time that the horn looked too 'old fashioned'.! Doh!

The chefs/cooking knife with the AUS 8A(W) ( tungsten added) steel. IIRC, it's the only spyderco with that steel. It should be a good steel.
