    It's finally here

I ordered a black bladed PE Para last week from NGK, and I have been eagerly awaiting it's arrival. So, there I was sitting at the computer, reading this forum, and what do I hear? The UPS guy.

Oh, I think, must be dropping off something my wife ordered. Then I remember. The Para! Run to the door, check the return label, and sure enough, my Para has arrived (along with a fitted Spyderco Tribal hat). I rush inside with it and go to open the box. Wouldn't you know that I don't have a knife on me?! I'm still in my sweats from sleeping (I work nights), but I've got to get this box opened. Luckily, there is a loose edge to the packing tape, and I rip open the box.

There it is, my little beauty, sitting in its protective box. I carefully open the box, and I meet my Para. First impressions are "Wow, what a great looking knife." Picking it up, I'm immediately impressed by its weight. I was expecting a lighter knife, not this tank. The weight is very comforting in my hand, reassuring me that this knife could stand up to whatever I subject it too.

The fit and finish are very nice. Smooth opening and solid lockup. No bladeplay, and the compression lock is very interesting. I run the blade across my arm, and there goes some hair. Very sharp. Slices off newsprint no problem.

Overall, a great knife. I look forward to many years of rugged service with the Para.

Btw, the Spyderco hat is also awesome. Fits me like a glove.
For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother."

    Thumbs up

what a bunch of nerds around here.. haha

I think I'd like the para much more than the millie.. I traded my millie for a NIB stretch PE and I'm still nerding out on it even though I've had a combo edge stretch for months.
