    Flyboys

    Anyone see it yet?

This is about the first WWI flying movie I can remember since "The Blue Max" came out many years ago. It looks interesting and I'd like to hear from someone who has seen it.

I didn't think much of the Howard Hughs aviation movie that came out a couple of years ago.

Hopefully no one goes in thinking it's about the book of the same name - Either Hanley's or Bradley's.

I hope I'm wrong but this movie looks like typical hollywood show some aerial footage and wrap it around a love story stuff a la Pearl Harbor. Imdb.com shows it rated higher by females in all age groups except for those in the 30-44 year group. It is based on the famous WWI Lafeyette Escadrille before the US became actively involved in the Great War. I'll go see it for the aerial footage - even though much is CGI footage and hope the schmaltz doesn't interfere with historical accuracy.
