    Unhappy There is a shooting 2 miles from here in a school...

    Read this:

    2 young men (or more) got in a school this after noon and opened fire in the cafeteria.

    2 dead men (so far ) 13 injured.....

    It happened 3 hours ago

    And all that, less than 2 miles from where I am right now.....

    I've been watching some video and reading online reports.

    Wow.

    They've caught two of the gunmen (killed them, I last heard), and there may be another still in the college.

    crazy people! I have always wondered about weapon laws--if they were completely removed, would there be less crime in the long run? Eventually people would realize that if they tried mugging someone they could get themselves shot, etc, and crime would recede.

    I've only read that there was 1 attacker, 1 person dead and 19 injuried (of those 19, 6 are in critical).

    I've read your link and I didn't see anything about a second attacker...maybe I need to read it a lil closer. ah I see they say they think there may have been more, but doesn't look that way anymore. Just one Prick...to bad he didn't get what deserved before he could hurt those people.

    another black eye for Quebec though sadly.

    I think the second, third attackers were just excited reporting. One gunman, many seriously wounded and dead.

    My understanding from this AM's reports are that the shooter was a goth blogger who posted pictures of his tombstone and himself in various poses with guns.Apparently after he was done his senseless shooting,he attempted to turn his gun on himself but the Montreal PD took care of it for him.
    Thoughts and prayers to those folks and their families.Glad you're OK Simon,I thought of you when it happened.

    The guy was there to kill as many as possible. He had some sort of an AK-47, a Colt 45 and some sort of weird looking shotgun.

    He only hit one (so far ). The rest are still in hospital.

    It's a 7500 students school. He really could have made a giant mess.

    I am ok, but for how long. It's the 3rd school shooting in Montreal in the past 17 years, after Concordia (Look for Valery Fabrikant) and Polytechnique (See Marc Lepine)....
