I can pretty much promise that IF a letter to the editor refuting that article ever gets published, it will be the nastiest, most incoherent rant that comes in, there by validating the article by showing that the people who disagree are crazies. Articles like that don't make it to print unless the editor agrees with them. Personally, I would LOVE to see their circulation numbers drop through the floor over this. It is the only influence we have over the media. If I HAD been a WSJ reader, I wouldn't be any more.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
