    Question about fixed blade carry...

Perhaps someone here can help me; I will be moving to Baltimore, MD for graduate school, and I would like to know if anyone could advise me as to whether or not it could be legally permissible to carry a fixed blade? If so, are there any size limits and or carry restrictions?
    Many thanks,
    Mike

There's no "official" limits on fixed blade lengths that I'm aware of, but it must be carried openly, concealed carry constitutes a "concealed deadly weapon."

No double edged knives. And to be perfectly honest, you better have a reason to carry one. Expect to be asked about why you're carrying, and self defense is the wrong answer.

This only applies to Maryland in general, Baltimore city may have stricter rules, though I'm not sure, we tend to focus on handguns more than knives.

Why would you want to do this unless you need it in your trade (cutting rose bushes, etc.)? I think that is pushing the envelope a bit far, especially in a high crime city like Baltimore. A nice little Delica 4 should do everything you need to do.
