    Micro review of my NavII/SE

    Greetings you all,

Last night I decided to take my NavII/SE to work with me to see if the knife is up to some heavier use.

Well, the knife did very well on those thick and sturdy plastic fibre tie bands and tie rips.

For cutting up cardboard, I wished the blade was a bit larger. Evenso with the cutting of the thick polyethelene film.

And despite the choils and the handle being sanded with 220 grit sand paper, the handle was still a bit slippery when my hands became sweaty. The knife alsmost slipped out of my hands a few times.

All in all, the Nav survived a night of rather heavy use, gained a few caracter marks in the process and the action is a lot smoother now.

On a side note: I discovered by changing my clothes this afternoon when I woke up, that the blade of the Nav was still covered with sweaty moisture. There was absolutely no sign of rust or pitting despite the knife being covered in sweat for about 12 hours. VG10 really rocks

However I think I'll stick with my Endura 3/SE for work and save the Nav for off duty use.

For pics of the NavII I would like to refer you all to the thread of Wouter, way better pics than mine

Arend, thanks for that great field report. Imagine that, the NavII is not sized like a 'work knife', yet it did the job just fine -save for the short slippery handle-. Great stuff Arend, thanks!

    Hi Arend,

Great review! Must be fun using your knives at work.

Apart from the fact that you can use your own knives at work do you like your new job?

    Greetz,

    Erik.
