Talking Persian visits land of the Crow Pictures...

I took my Persian to my homeland this past week. While there, I visited this historic site that has some modest "petroglyphs" (cave pictures from ancients).
    First a warmup

Here you can see the "Ghost Cave" in the background...more on that later.

The area used to be the lands of the Crow Indians. It is said they avoided the area due to there being no means of escape if they got cornered by their enemies.

If you look closely in this picture you can see round stone "ball" areas about halfway down the cliff. These were caused when the ancient sea bed that formed this sandstone formed around small sticks or other debris. They are important as when they fall out of the cliff they start the caves. They are called concretions.

Ghost cave and concretions...a different angle.

    more to come...

Here are some of the cave drawings...sadly they are mostly faded to the point of no showing up on the camera...this is the only one that came through. There is some red and also black drawings.

This is the inside of the Ghost Cave. The area was explored approximately 100 years ago by archeologists. This cave had ghostly images on the film. Let me know if you see any ghosts...

    Aloha zen',

Bro, those were beautiful pics! However, I thought concretions was what I suffered when i bashed my knee all those times I took down inmates were called?..sorta like road rash, sometimes accompanied by swelling, hurt like a son of a gun when treated with Iodine...

Eh...did you manage to catch one with W. Coyote out there? Hear any, "Beep beeps!!!"?

Hope ya got more of these pics...they're awesome buddy.

    God bless

Cool photos Zen. It looks like you and the Persian had a fun time. I like exploring caves as long as I don't have to crawl through any worm-hole type entrances/connections. I freak out in really tight areas.

Very nice. That is the kind of place I like to explore when on vacation. Not a stu*** beach where you lie down and just do nothing!!!

    Thank for the great pictures.

You need to get yourself a piece of wood and get out into those 5 foot swells! Also nothing beats building a sand castle with a 4 yearold.

Thanks Ed, it probably was not a point of consideration during your design process, but your Persian is very photogenic.

Hi Simon, not very many thong bikinis in the caves though. I considered wearing one myself, but I didn't want to skin my cheeks.
