Golden Colorado Made

I have a couple of the Golden made spyders. A couple dodos, a para, a yojimbo and just today a military. All of them are used as edcs, the military will be a camp/hike/hunt knife as I can't legally carry it out and about.

All I have to say is wow! These g-10 knives are all so well designed and made. I really like the g-10. Also the blade shapes and steel.

I tried a mini-manix and liked it but exchanged it because it was so large, but it was built like a bank vault.

So lately I have been carrying Golden made. I'm so impressed with everything about them!

i find the overall quality to be equal between the golden and seki made knives.

I also think the Seki and Golden are on par quality-wise. I like the g-10 Golden knives a lot, I'll have to try a Seki g-10 sometime to see how they are. The only Seki I have are ss's and frn's. Maybe a viele or ocelot, or maybe even a civilian someday.

It seems to me that most of the serious collector pieces that have really shot up in value are mostly Seki City Japan models. The Golden Colorado models seem like their line of "intended hard use" models. Interestingly enough it seems like few of the Golden Colorado models have attained the highly collectible status. I find that extremely curious in many ways.

A couple Golden Colorado models here of late that have gotten the attention of the collector community has been the Lil Temperance and the Gunting. But I find it hard to come up anything else at the present time that really brings about a big Ebay bid war. However I do think that the best Spydercos for the USER category are some of the Golden Colorado models i.e. Military, Paramilitary, Yojimbo & Manix.

One more Golden Colorado knife that is moving toward collector status but has a way to go is the Titanium ATR. But you are hard pressed to come up with major collectibles out of the Golden line. And I would have thought that to be just the opposite.

i'd be willing to guess the Dodos, both black and blue, will be demanding more money very soon. it's a shame they have been discontinued.

The Robert Terzuoala designed C55 Starmate seems to have some legs lately on the bidding bay. Justly so as mine is a real handfull of cutting power with purposeful straightforward lines.

I got to painfully admit>> This is one knife I don't know which factory that they made it. I think the STARMATE is a Seki City Japan knife but I'm not 100% sure. OK Which is it? And TKC I don't want anymore guff out of you

i've changed my mind, Golden knives are better but only when they say "Golden Colorado, USA, Earth"

IMO, the Golden made knives have better fit & finish than the Seki made ones.

I have had some Seki made knives(especially FRN handled ones) in the past that would bring tears to your eyes in terms of F&F.

Every Golden made knife I have is almost flawless
