    G-10 and G-11

    hello,

I have seen some mod recently from very talented forumites which include the use of a handle material called G-11.

Is that a mistake or a new version/kind of G-10?

I understand it is a similar material, same fiber content, different binder (resin). Personally, I don't know what either one really is

There are a variety of fiberglass filled resin products on the market, G-3, G-10, and G-11 among them. G-3 uses phenolic resin, like that in micarta, so it's kind of a fiberglass micarta. G-10 and G-11 both use polymer resins but use different formulas which give them different properties. I believe one is more electrically resistive than the other, just not sure which.

I knew the expression "To Google it" when you want to make a research about something on the net.
Now, I can add "to Deacon it" when it comes to knife related subjects
