    Pacific Salt blade

Hello friends, its been quite awhile since I have posted here with my Spydie brothers! No fear, I still have loyalty to the bug I have been super busy with school, being engaged and moving; and hopefully I can calm down soon and be apart of the forums again.

Okay, I have a question for everybody. I have a Yellow PE Pacific Salt that is an older version (I know because the clip is steel and not Ti). The blade has the words "Paciific Salt" engraved on it. I have seen pictures of other Pacific Salt knives that have no engraving, and noticed that the new Tasman Salt uses the black writing instead of engraving. So what is currently used on new Pacific Salts? I really like the engraving, looks classier than what the Tasman uses, and I wonder if some Pacific Salts were made with no words on the blade at all. Anybody know?

I bought my Pacific Salt about a year ago from a retailer over here.

Since this retailer is rather slow in receving the newer models, it could be possible that the first production runs didn't have lettering on the blade.

    Don't know for sure though

    Alohowdy Texas guy,

I got to handle one of the very first Salt's when they came out via The Deacon. IIRC, there were NO markings on the blade, just on the handle around the bug.

Love this one...especially in the color of your avatar!

Thanks DAYWALKER, I was hoping I could get another Pacific Salt in yellow with the engraving. I know you prefer the E3 handle (over the E4), I have yet to handle a E4, but couldn't imagine it being more ergonomic than the Pacific Salt. Imagine a waved yellow Pacific Salt

    resurrection

I guess I asked for it myself by posting that picture.

The Salt I was my very first Spyder which I bought before I knew about this forum and greatness & beauty of serrations.

I bought that Salt back then(about 1 and a half year ago) closely followed by the Persian, SS Police/PE, and Karambit. These are the only PE knives I have left by now. They are my son's favourites and he doesn't want me to get rid of them(man, it's hard to raise your children right LOL )

The only slipping I've done is buying the mini Persian because I like that knife despite the lack of teeth. I haven't carried it so far though. My son did however, when I had him over for the past week.
