    Blade game plan

So for those of you going, whats your game plan on the items you want to get?
For myself I think I will not form a game plan and just buy what I like when I see it.Thats what I did the first year I went and I had much more fun than running here and there trying to find just what I was looking for.
I think this will give me more time with my son showing him whos who and talking with some of those strange people from the INTERNET
I am really chomping at the bit waiting for it to get here this year as it is my sons first show and the fact I will have a decent amount of cash to spend(hopeing nothing happens between now and then)
IMO we need to get a thread going on Spyderco forumites meeting for lunch or something.

Thumbs up The BLADE Show> don't miss it

I can certainly echo some of the things Jeff just said. My first time at the BLADE show was in the year 2000 I was so blown away that I was like a kid in a "Russell Stover's" candy store with $100 bucks in my pocket. I only did the opening day that year because I had to be in Florida the next day but the 4 hours I spent that day will live forever. It certainly broadened my horizons in my knife interest. I thought I knew a little bit about knives until went there the first time. I was so blown away that the knife world was as big and diversified as it is. Since then I have not missed one BLADE show. And you really need to do 2 to 3 days of it to do it justice. I will not forget seeing BILL MORAN last year doing the "Forging Demonstation" that he did there for years> GOD rest his soul. Very few people have any clue of an idea what degree of craftsmanship these custom knife designers posess. Every knife fan needs to do this show at least once. But you won't be able to do it once only>> that is if you are a true knife afficionado

Sigh, I'd love to go to the Blade show. But not right now...having visited both Golden and the IWA show very recently. I'm sure I'll get there some year though. Have a great time!
