Great looking pics skcusloa, thank you for sharing with us . I don't really know that much about guns, but it looks nice!

Thanks for the pics. I gained an appreciation for those surplus arms when I read Boston's Gun Bible. Nice piece, and I see it has a deserving home.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Ah the K31. This is my favorite bolt action that was ever produced. It is the only right handed bolt action i can shoot (lefty), and for the $130 i paid for it, the action was smooth as silk, and it is truly a tack driver (iron sights only). The only prob is finding the 7.5x55 rounds for it. When i first bought the gun, i could get 50rd boxes of ammo for $10. Now the only ammo i ever see is 20rds for $20. Granted these are hunting loads, but still ammo is getting harder to find. I need to get out to the local gun shows more often and look for surplus ammo.

On a side note, i saw another K31 about a month ago for sale. They were asking $130 as well. I didn't have the money at the time, but if i did, it would have been sold.

Anyone who is interested in this rifle should check out gun test magazine. they had an article in a previous issue that explained how if this gun was produced today it would cost over $2000. I believe it as it is machined to perfection (or as close as possible).

Thanks skcusloa for sharing the pics and for sharing an interest in one of the finest firearms ever made.

Reloading is needed if you want to shoot a K31 often.

When I bought it, I purchased 60 rounds for 20 bucks of the GP11 swiss stuff. I can get a case of 480 for 156 plus shipping. I haven't priced it out, but I think that's at least half way to a reloading setup. I still need to read up on reloading...

I bought mine for 100 dollars. I was able to hand pick it out of a batch of 10.

Did yours have the soldier's tag under the butt stock plate? Mine did.
