    How does that grab you? I like the way the Kiwi is in harmony with nature. It's my churchknife every Saturday

    Very nice Peter. Is that black lip pearl, or something else?

    Thank you

    I bought that Kiwi in Oct. 2007 and the seller said it's Abalone and Santa Fe Stoneworks work. I have second thoughts but I'm not well versed in such things.

    Thanks so much for bumping this, I don't know how on earth I've missed this thread. I just drooled through all 25 pages, and want more! Peter, my sincerest compliments, you have a magnificent collection, and a keen eye for photo composition.

    I hope so. I think you have quite a few dozen , which we didn't see yet.
    Are you planning to get Caly3.5? or there is no better EDC than Caly3.

    .

    Bumping the post/pix to the fore for comparison/contrast against the original number of 23 VG-10/G-10 Test-run CHINOOKS, which were ultimately raffled off (?) in the Children's Hospital charity around 2001 hmmmmmm.....
    ......will locate some of the pertaining thread(s) and post(s) and reference those; with images of my owned One of those Twenty-Three... / no threadjack intent, but I did want the opp'y to compare the images at least between the VG-10 version followed by the CPM-440V 'Production Chinook I'.

    Being already pretty well-versed in the many aspects concerning Chinooks ....ranging from origin;
    metallurgical considerations; HG vs Full Flat plus background with regard to MAA Keating whom I follow as closely as time and $$ allow........and series I-III to date; last time I visited SFO I had the chance to socially engage both Gail and Sal cordially, together for the better part of an hour, regarding topically (for this purpose) 'A Great Many Things Chinook' -- in past, present and future contexts.

    Gail picked up on this blade of mine with immediate interest, to say the least. I explained the sentimental factor and other reasons I have so bonded to this piece especially -- and why my allegiance is so strong to Spyderco in general; thanking them again for all that is great in their regard personally, as well that of Spyderco's regard.

    Edit to follow with pix... if deemed to be too far off the beaten path, I'll withdraw my posts here and do the C&C elsewhere (?) but here I'll endeavor brevity on my account nonetheless.

    / SB!!

    Yes I plan to order a Caly 3.5; the very thought I miss a SKU makes me nervous
    BUT for my fathers son there is no better EDC than my Caly 3.

    Just wait when get Caly3.5. I carry it for last three days and love it even more than the day I received it. Just be careful, it is very sharp. I bought two: one for me and one for my buddy at work. Both of us not new to knives, but both of us cut ourselves on the first day.
    Thank you for pictures again.
