A good day at the Dog Show

A couple of weeks ago I posted a pic of my puppy Dozer, well today was the first of two days of Dog show at the Cow Palace in San Fransisco. We were hoping for him to do well in the puppy clase to get ring experience since it was his first time but to our complete suprise not only did he win the puppy class but also the open dog class and best of winners class which earned him 2 point towards his title. Keeping our fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Just thought I would share our good day.

    Peace
    John

Hey that is pretty cool Tank. How many points does a dog have to earn to earn Champion?

Congrats Tank. I remember you sharing the pic of Dozer. Thanks for the update.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

CONGRATS!!! That is awesome!! You go Dozer!! I LOVE watching dog shows. I watch them with my dog, and there are certain types of dogs he hates. he will run up to the tv and growl at them! It is really funny!! Anyway!! GO DOZER!!

Thanks for all your comments everyone...

Day two was another good day although not as good, Our handler was late so we had to use someone Dozer didnt know and he wasn't happy..He did still win his puppy class but only took reserve in the overall dog class which is still good for a puppy.
Sorry to say the Cow Palace is a horrible place for pictures so non of the pics from ring side turned out. But I will post some pics of him on the bench at the show when I get home from work,

    Peace.

The BBC also airs a couple of dog shows every year.

    Good luck with Tank!

Very Cool! Does he have Champion lines? Have you done this before?
Our first Great Dane was from Champion lines on both sides for a couple of gens. He was borderline "show quality" when we picked him out but a huge spot on his showside stayed grey instead of turning black. I would like to get a puppy to show next time though.
Good Luck in the next show!

Good Luck in the next show!
He comes from a long line of champions on both sides....
He will be the third newf we have shown.. We also do alot of working stuff like water rescue training and draft work and obedience.
