what animals do you guys have?

i was wondering if the forumites do have animals, and what kind. maybe there is a little story about that you want to tell..

    here goes mine:

her name is chiara, a dobermann-rottweiler-mix, got her from the animal shelter at the age of about one. had her on 9/11 for three years now. before i took her with me, i visited her a couple of times. she was only barking at me, did not take foods from me, nor wanted she to play with me. the time i went there when i planned to take her with me, that time was the one when she was friendly first.

the ex-owner commited suicide. probably because of the dog..

I have a Mutant Cat by the name of "DK" (Darn Kat) of about 4 years, weighs between 15 and 20 lbs and solid muscle. You know how most cats are somewhat/get fat and lazy, well he's not. When he is wet, he doesn't lose any of his shape like most cats do when wet. He is a Manecoon and has what I call "Cattitude". I got him for as an Anniversary Gift for my wife, and he adopted me. He is my buddy, always knows when I'm down or sick, he comforts me, but make him upset, "WOW". He owns the house/King (So He Thinks) and lets everyone know it. But, he is part of the family and I couldn't ask for a better pet. And he is pulling double duty as a pet. Unfortunately in May someone trying to get even with me, and poisoned my dog of 10 years, a Blue Heeler named "Zip". So, we both suffered a loss, not only was he my dog but DK's as well. They were buddies. So, now DK feels he has to also take the place of Zip. He really is an Awsome Cat and very Compassionate. Take Care All. Pix coming soon.

    God Bless

German bred German Shepherd. He'll be two in May!

A pic taken early last summer. Megan, a 5 year old Border Collie and Henry a 14 week old (was then!) Border Collie!! After 14 hours in "hell", these two can always bring a smile to my face!

    Pets...

    Currently..

    African Grey Parrot
    Corn snake
    Ball python
    Redtail boa
    3 cats
    Chocolate lab
    Missouri Foxtrotter
    Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse

Giving strong consideration to a cute little Doberman pup. My current dog is my best friend, but she is really aging. The day likely isn't too far off when we'll be saying "so long". I won't be without a dog. I consider a good dog to be an essential part of life.

    5 Dogs

    My German Shorhair Pointer (Max)
    English Setter (Belle)
    2 Daushounds (Baby & Schatze)
    1 Chiwawa(sp) (Dixie)

On a side note, i am not a fan of small dogs. The shorthair is my dog, the rest are my parents and sisters. The only small breed i enjoy is a Scotish Terrier and even then its only in moderation. I like sporting breeds and large dogs that either hunt or serve as guard dogs as well as companions.

I have four cats . We never planned on having that many, it just kinda happened you know Here's the funny thing: I used to be allergic to them when I was younger. I was so bad that when I was around any cat hair, my eyes would swell shut and I had a hard time breathing. I don't know how I go over it, a miracle for sure .

I see I'm not the only one with a Congo African Grey Parrot. Also have two cats and 3 Newfoundlands. Odest was born on 9/11 so he will be 5 in september. The newest member is a male that is 7 months old and a 3 year old Female who is currently pregnant with at least 5 pups. So in March we will have a house full at least until they go to the breeders how at 4 weeks.

We have a cat, which, judging by its markings, must have a very varied pedigree. A Heinz 57 would be about right. A strange cat...it ONLY eats Iams cat pellets and ONLY drinks water. We suspect that it supplements this diet with the odd dove, judging by the feathers we sometimes find !

We've got a cat Her previous owner could not keep her after moving so my better half took her. Now I think that not we own the cat but we are her employees

Here are a couple of pics: A portrait that I've done last year, favourite position while not sleeping (i.e. watching something), yawning quite scary, dozing and sleeping on my books while I am learning (that was yesterday).

    Cheers, Rob

I prefer cats but as I was unable to outgrow my childhood allergy so I enjoy the company of two dogs. I have a female English Bulldog, she was abused by a previous owner but she is starting to remember she is a dog again...that is helped buy a Havanese puppy that we got this summer. The Havanese thinks he is human and attempts to walk on his hind legs whenever someone is near...crazy little dog.

Cool topic! Ours is a Siberian Husky called "naughty-boy". He's a bundle of joy for the Samos..

    Samo's naughty-boy...

Samo's Husky is one busy doggy..

    Mrs Samo and naughty-boy..

Naugthy boy needs to be worked hard.. Huskies are generally mischevious..

It can be purty hot for a long-haired doggy to live in Malaysia

Okay fellow forumites, I have what most consider the forbidden dog, a 6month old pit bull named Abel. Considering I have a wife and four girls, it was a much needed male gift from my wife.

While not exactly mine, my girlfriend has three cats, one of which has become my adopted daughter, who runs to the door every time I come in, because she knows I have food, and she eats my food, and likes to drink my bottled water. This cat is very well spoiled If I lay down, within a few minutes she'll be rubbing up against me and curling up on my chest.

But if I try and leave without saying goodbye to her....

I did that once, got a phone call from my girlfriend saying that the cat was not very happy. I could hear her in the background meowing like crazy, and the next time I came up, I got the cold shoulder.

    It's like having two girlfriends
