Tasman blade into new Delica handle?

i want a hawkbill in a non-stainless handle. i REALLY like the new Delica handle vs. the Tasman handle. would it be possible to do a straight swap of the Tasman blade into a new Delica handle?

Tasman Salt IS a Hawkbill in a non stainless handle, why would you want to switch into the Delica handle?

Not a good idea, the steel liners in the new Delica are probably not rust proof, nor are the pins or clip. Would completely defeat the purpose of having a Salt knife.

Not sure what you're looking for

Sorry, just looked at your post again and saw you preferred the Delica 4 handle. I still don't think it would work, but maybe if the new handles catch on, Spyderco will use them on more models.

I remember Sal mentioning that the Salt models were not getting the new handle treatment right away, because it would increase the cost and because the Salt line is still relatively new, but I'm sure it could be a possibility in the future, depending on sales.

the non-stainless was more in reference to not buying a Harpy.

the style, shape, and clip options on the new Delica really appeal to me over that of the Salt series handles. that was the reason for my question.

Sorry, made more sense to me after I read it the second time, it's late

I do agree with you though, I love the new handle design, and hopefully more models will incorporate those features in the future.

I'm pretty sure this question (or something along the same lines) was posed before. I think I remember TK saying that they were not innerchangable.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

I found it. Here it is. I‘m just guessing because the handle for the Tasman looks to be essentially the same as the Delica.

The question posed was if the blade of the old Delica could be swapped out for the blade of the new Delica (some of us still prefer the pointier version).

As for the Delica 4 and Endura 4 that are pictured... these are a regular production run model due in stock with us in November/December (redundant, I know, but remember this is APPROXIMATE).

Swapping Blades, I'm sorry, no - not possible.

Hope this helps. I'm out of here for the evening. Take care all!

I also wish they could be changed. I like the pivot screws. If spyderco make liners and screws with 420 stainless, we can get the rust proof since 420 has little carbon. Sprint run might be great. This is just my tiny little brain talking .

DamnYank I agree! I would like a harpy or tasman hawkbill blade in the new delica handle. For me it's about the more hand filling , grippier design, and not about water proofing the knife. Actually I would prefer a Spyderhawk blade in the new Endura4 handle!
