Somebody hates me... lets hope 06 is better.

Lets see... 2005... either someone hates me or loves me(with a sick sense of humor).

End of 2004 I fubar my wrist, spend 04/05 doing physio, attempting to work, and being passed between doctors and specialists... only to be told my wrist is fubar'd for life. I get good days and bad days. Thankfully the bad days are getting further apart. Constanly cracking my wrist, and slowly getting strength back.

October I have 2 car accidents in 2 hours. Car spends a week and a half in the shop, finally get it back the first week of november. Still putting up with a stiff neck.

*2 months* dead on from the last car accidents, I smack into the cement barrier on a bridge that I go over 3-4 times every day. Total the car off. Front end is fvcked. Everything is twisted, engine brackets and frame. Was told by the inspector that he had no idea how I walked away from it.

Saw the eye doc, hadn't been in for 4yrs, figured I may as well put my holiday to good use.... 4yrs ago I had 20/25 vision with my astigmatism(and got glasses, wear em when I have any real reading to do). Yesterday? I find out that it's developed into cataracts on my retinas. I now have 20/30 vision and depending on how it looks in 6 months(done school in 5 months), I'm getting refered to a specialist and getting booked in for laser surgery. Gonna end up with bifocals at 22. At least I know what't been causing my photosensitivity and migranes. Nothing like going blind young , but at least I'm not kidding when I say I'm blind when I can't read or find something.

    Here's hoping 2006 is better.

Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?

VW ... it's gonna get better in 2006. It has too. BTW, bifocals aren't so bad. I put off getting them for a long time for no good reason.

If 2006 doesn't get any better I'll be checking myself into a rubber room. Came close to cracking a few times this year.

I too hope '06 is a better year for you vw. Sounds like you don't have to bother looking for trouble.

Hey vw, Hope everything is going good for you. On your thread where we compared injuries, you said that you would be pulling out your bike in the Spring. Well with our Huhmmmmmmmmm, injury history, I'll pass this on to you. This is a saying we have in BMX Racing; "Keep the Rubber Side Down, and Pin It". I also wanted to wish you a

VERY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Also wondering, Is our injury contest still on? I start racing again next weekend.

You Take Good Care Of Yourself Bro (watchout for the other guy, they're usually the hazards for us).

    God Bless

raven: don't worry, I'll catch up on injuries as soon as the roads are clear enough. Big chunk will be biking to school with traffic... the one section (I only hit about a km of this road) I'll have to hit is posted 90kph, most folks do closer to 100kph when it's dry. Or I can add 3km to my ride and go through the downtown with more idiots to open doors into me.

Just need one good accident with my bike, probably get both my knees and wrist shot with a good spill at 70kph. Nothing like doing 60-70kph in traffic to wipe out, but at least I can put a dent in most of the cars that pull out in front of me.

Just need a new pedal assembly and probably a new set of rims for the spring season... might end up just buying another cheap bike to wreck though. Gonna cost me about $200 to get my bike ready, but the sucker has about $500 worth of work and upgrades on it already, and I do all my own work. Or I can fix up the 25th anniversary raleigh to get MORE speed(bigger, thinner rims, about a 1/2" of contact with the road, 80kph is easy on a flat dry surface), but that hurts more to wreck.

Go ahead and start wracking up your injuries now, I'll pass you when the roads clear. Decent weather the last month, might get out biking in febuary if I'm lucky.

Hey VW, You think we could get someone on the forum to keep track/tally of the injuries for us? We can post (If Possible) after each injury/crash. What do ya think? Any takers? Or, they can Partake in this Sadistic little Idea.

    God Bless

Hi Pat, I hope this year will be better for you. Just don't say "it can't be any worse", OK?
