    I wish

    Hi Spyderco

I Wish the big manix had the handle shape of the newer smaller version. I also wish it came in colours like the gunting.

I also wish that the stretch had a different handle, like a classic western look.

Also, i wish the the calypso Jr, had a UK penknife type of handle and clip.

    Hi Spyderpocket,

    Welcome to the Spyderco forums.

I wish I could do everything evryone wishes,

On the Manix; Ergos govern the shape of the handle. Eric felt the shorter knife needed an adjustment in the ergos. The Gunting colors were for trainers (red) and a special version that Bram wanted (blue). Those needs do not exist on the Manix at this time. What colors did you have in mind?

We're working on a handle mod for the Stretch.

I'm working on a Caly 3. More of what you suggest.

    A CALY 3????????????????

    Drool, Drool, Drool

Would it be too much to ask that you consider changing it over to a compression lock Sal?

Wow, i didn't expect Sal to reply himself,

    Thanks you very much.

I thought that green would be perfect for the manix,
I love the handle shape of the new manix and i wish that the cutting edge was longer. I mean that part of the blade, the first part where it it is not sharp, i wish it was smaller. I think it is meant to be for the fingers, but it would look better without a smaller one or no one,

I know that you put function first though.

The UK penknife has an excellent handle but no lock, it would be a perfect handle for a Calypso blade.

    Thanks

Welcome to the Forums pocket! We are all pretty "demanding" it comes to the models we want, but Sal puts up with us well enough
A Caly 3!?!?!?!? Is this a full sized or another Jr. sequel?

A new caly w/ a compression lock would be neat, but then again it may not be a caly anymore. I would like to see one w/ g10 handles perhaps lil temp green or orange (i know its a longshot, but i had to put it out there) and vg10 or s30v.

A green would be cool...I wish it would be a bit deeper/darker green than the Lil'Temp. just to set it apart.
(plenty of color in the spectrum...lets use more of it)

Welcome to the forums Spyderpocket .

My only wish concerning the Manix(big one or 80mm) is still a fully serrated blade

yes, I know that one, I like it allot, if it had a uk pen knife clip , I would look perfect. I love the blade shape and colour. The manix has a future for evolution.

I don't know about compression locks as i have never had one. I read its

Exactly, maybe with a textured handle but dark green would be enough for me.

You have a point about setting it apart because many of the new g10 models look alike. I mean that the g10 dominates so the military, paramilitary, manix, look similar while they have different personality.

Caly Jr... Let me think... 0.5" more blade, same shape of same vg-10 ...
Handle: G-10, colored (brown? Burgundy?) same shape and ergos, but a metal piece where the clip clamps so it would be easy for retrieval from pocket (a la Stretch)... What do you think?
