Holy smokes that's nice. Am I the only one sitting here right now wishing that Spyderco would make this very same knife out of Ti but with an integral compression lock for the U.S. market?

Well, if Sal decided he wanted to start making those again, you'd certainly hear no complaints from me.

In the meantime, I continue to be mesmerized by the 'shop Phrenik put together a couple of years ago.

I am almost exclusively into lockers, but I must admit the PITS looks pretty slick. I'll have to try one out at least and feel how it is compared to other SlipIts I've used.

On the safety aspect, I'd say that it's the best slipIt out there period.

Based on the time-honored principle of "size does matter," here's a larger pic of the PITS folder prototype:

We'll be making a Stretch 2 with G-10 scales to check out the modification of the finger choil. If all goes well, we'll change the current mold to the new change.

I'm not usually a big fan of metal scales, but the PITS looks very interesting.

Some more info pasted from Sal's post in the G-10 Stretch thread on the Blade Forum

Love the Sal's Casual Bombshell thread, even looking back to seeing the excitement that happens prior to new releases.

    Now,

I'm just waiting for Sal's PM2 Sprint Land Mine.
