Our "Emerson Opener" models ("Wave" is a trademark of Leatherman) sell mostly to Law Enforcement Professionals and Military. Enough to keep them in the line, besides we like to support our LEP's.

I am working on another model with an "Emerson Opener", but we're just in the early stages of design. It's also designed for LEP's.

Is Sal implying there is a Carpenter steel version of the Bushcraft in the works (posted on Bladeforums)?

01 was the preferred steel for Bushcrafters. Since this model was designed by
Bushcrafters for Bushcrafters, we felt we should follow the proper path. Because the handle was so etraordinarily comfortable to use for long periods of time, I felt the handle could be also used for other outdoor solutions. My preference would have been S90V as an optimal compromise. Also, now we have Carpenter's version. Those two steels in a FFG will offer exceptional cutting power, edge retention and still provide corrosion resistance. More difficult to sharpen in the field.

...or does he mean Carpenters version of S90v (20CP)?

Sadly, I suspect the latter (but I was never much good at interpreting the message of the prophets!)

Caly 3 for me VG-10 its enough, with G10 without bolsters in elegant blue navy or burgundy, i prefer blue navy.

Actually, the name "Bodacious" is being saved for a large Rescue model designed for the Rodeo market. "Bodacious" was the name of a very famous bull that was impossible to ride. He has a special weave for his harness. We had a replica made of the original weave of the harness tha we plan to use as the scale texture.

Regarding the K390 mule.

I have almost always carried a Ladybug. A back up or for those times when you don't want to pull out a larger knife. In my shirt pocket, it's convenient when driving.

I felt that for larger cutting chores like cutting up boxes, I wanted a little more purchase for control. This meant a tad wider and thicker. I also wanted a full flat grind. For the types of things that I cut, it works better. A full flat would require a thicker stock lest it become too weak, hence the thicker blade.

Now I almost always have a Manbug with me. It has replaced the Ladybug. I'm ready for a ZDP Manbug.

A little information from the website below.
Bohler K390 has close to the same edge holding as A11 but is much tougher. Bohler's third generation particle metallurgy contributes to the toughness of the steel

This steel will be hard to grind, finish and sharpen. Once it is sharp it will stay sharp for a long long long time.

In a C37 Walker thread (someone also asks for a C22 sprint run, so I'm not sure exactly which of them Sal is referring to):

We were thinking of a sprint with Nishijin carbon fiber. We can also do Aluminum or G-10.

We're having some luckwith the brown canvas micarta that we use on the Temperance 2. Also the maker of the Dyad has found some micarta that we'll be using on a Lum Sprint next year.

Sal -- A sprint with micarta and a Lum design? Are you referring to a Lum Tanto fixed blade (FB03) sprint?!?! If so, your post seriously qualifies as a "Sal's Casual Bombshell."

We just heard from the maker and the micarta deal fell through. We're looking at paperstone or maybe G-10. I guess it's a first comment on the Lum Tanto sprint.
