What movie would you lose sleep over?

    Aloha ALL,

Man alive...been at Hell more than I'd like as of late. For some reason, the guys/gals on the Watch after me have not been coming to work...hence, I and those below me in seniority, even above sometimes, have to work their shift...*UGH*.

ANYWAY...the other night I only worked *my* shift and was able to come home. I took full advantage of that by watching the Turner Movie Classic channel!

Watched this 1930 something flick called, "Wuthering Heights". One of the best movies I have ever seen, it has to be a classic! Stayed up until 0400hrs. in the morning...cripes, but it was worth it! If there's ever a Marx Brothers Marathon on, I am in trouble for sure! I would end up like Vampyrewolf and not sleep for days! Normally, I usually don't watch too much TV when I am home...but I was just *curious*...

What kind of movie/movies or anything on TV would you lose sleep over? (YES Alex...cartoons are included here! )

    God bless

I'm not a great lover of the TV. But not having cable or satellite, as well as being in a bad reception area, I only have FOUR channels to choose from!!

But, I have certainly lost sleep to a couple of movies after getting home late. Generally, they are the worst TV made movies ever, with the ham acting and predicable storyline and the title of you can never remember! Come to think of it, I've probably lost years of shut eye to this kind of rubbish they only put on late at night!!

Yep, me also, avoid prison movies like the plague!

    God bless,

    Simon

Both great movies and I have stayed up way too late many times just to watch part of them.

    Great thread.

One of my all time fave's is To Sir With Love, it can be a little hokey but man it gets me every time. And the incredible title song is one of my all time fave songs as well. Not to mention the legendary Mr. Tibbs. and the gorgeous Judy Geeson and Suzy Kendall.

I also love Soylent Green and just about anything with Charlton Heston.

Any of the Star Wars should be a given, IMHO.

Bruce Campbell vs. The Army of Darkness. I used to throw parties where all we did was watch Bruce Campbell movies, and play video games until the wee hours.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

    Red face Spook movies

I have always been intrigued with "Prison Movies" just like Doc Snubnose was talking about. But the Horror movies were always the ones that really rocked my boat. I think that "Pet Sematary" ( Stephen King) was one that really stuck with me for a while . AS goofy as it may sound the plot seemed somewhat believable . I know, I know I need to set an appointment to see Doctor Lecter>>>> Talk about Spook Movies

I've always been a Monster movie / special effects buff, and I'll have to admit that I enjoyed watching on SciFi channel two of their "originals": Pterodactyl and IIR Sabretooth....pretty gory though! There are recurrent scenes in Pterodactyl where this soldier is getting "eaten alive" by the baby pterodactyls in their nest...I guess you've got to be sortuv morbid to enjoy this! Cool special effects though.

for movies I find myself watching Lost in translation if it comes on. Can't if the kids are still awake. I will get up at any hour to watch live F1 racing. Only available on 1 cable channel in the US (broadcast TV only carries Nascar and Cart/Irl) and normally it will be 6-7AM on the weekends. SPa is this weekend. Now if I was only there

Ah yes, Lost In Translation. Having been fortunate to have travelled to Japan twice, this movie really captured this weird country. Thanks for reminding me, really need to see this one again.

About the F1, a co-worker visited the training today in Spa, but it was cancelled due to bad weather. I've once visited a F1, but only if you have very good seats, close to a chicane or a hair-pin it's worth it IMHO. I had a seat opposite of a straight piece on the track and seeing them pass by with 300km/h is not very exciting . The race is much easier to follow on TV.
