Where did you find such a bolt, sounds like some kind of a security feature. It's only meant to be unscrewed and by someone with the right key.

Possibility. But its an On Bolt it my grandmother house, Which allows acces to a celler area under the basement. She said she had the wrench but that was 60 years ago and she has no idea.

    Got any ideas.

I dont see how one would fit, since their are no two sides which are next to each other.

Why not just use a Vise-Grip? It may ruin the bolt but is it something you or your Grandmother want to preserve.

Is that a full size image? If it is good luck if the bolt is smaller you might try some "robogrips" from Sears

Vass naughty boy. Get a big pipe wrench for pipefitting (plumbing). These wrenches will grip a round tube rock solid, so something with squares could not be a problem. Trust me, i use them to unscrew bolts with rounded off edges, and they all come loose

Oh btw Vincent , it's not nice to call Vass an idiot.

He can't be because "Idiots are the lowest class they are mere organisms, masses of flesh and bone in human shape, in which the brain and nervous system has no command over the system of voluntary muscles; and which consequently are without power of locomotion, without speech, without any manifestation of intellectual or affective faculties."

The fact that Vass types and can use a computer (and sense of humour) proves he is not an idiot.
