Two of the corners have blue only, and two of the corners have red only. The other two corners have one of each color on a side. Normally you have both colors at each corner.

It's not the twist or the barrel or any of those where you lay strands across and diagonally over the sinnet. These go straight across a la the box stitch the whole way. It's just that because of how I start it, the cords are laid in different order.

Now I see what your saying. I think STR did something like that a while back. I've never done a box or brick(?) stitch myself, I just thought the twitsed ones looked familiar. That box is unique. The only other one I've looked at was STR's, and I may be mistaked but I thinke his was done in similar fasion. I wouldn't have realized what you meant without the explination because I've never done one. Now I gotta go look for his again.

Neither have I, but then, I haven't been spending the time to make much in the way of new lanyards.

I want to show you a Chinese knot I learned some time ago, that would make a nice fob for something like a Lum. When I get home, I'll see if I have time to snap a pic or two and post them. (First I have to do the tedious task of balancing my checking account online... Ugh.)

    Nice camo stuff, Ghostrider.

(P.S. Have you started a countdown til the movie release of "Ghostrider"? )

I haven't the patience for such a thing. Counting down only reminds me of it on a daily basis. I'm better off just not thinking about it.

Ghostrider, have you been doing these lanyards with or without the core strands left in them, for the most part?

I find that very few knives, if any, can accommodate a Lark's Head through the lanyard hole if the paracord still has the core in it...

I do both Round/Square Sennits are usuallly strandless. The Mini-JFBF above has the strands in. It really depends on what I'm making, and it's intended purpose.

It's better to be judged by 12 then to be carried by 6

Here's a couple more I did for some people.

The first is a basic wrist lanyard with a sliding cord lock.
The second was designed to be used as a carry strap for a bag.

Very nice, as usual, GR! I love your work! When I have some spare cash, I'll have to give you a call!

just did my first survival bracelet for myself. Really hard to get it, in my opinion, to the right size. Ended up doing it twice to get the correct size. Used a snap clasp to connect it.

It looks great Yes, sometimes it is hard to get the size just right. Sometimes from my starting measurement, I'll end up being as much as an inch short and other times longer than what I started with. It can vary depending on how tight you tie each knot and if you push them up tight every few knots. I don't usually preshrink my paracord, so I make the bracelets a bit on the loose side for comfort and if they do get wet and shrink, they still fit.

thanks, think I will try another now that I have something to go by and make it looser. found a place at Walmart that sells dog collars for about $3 and the clips are really nice and small there.

I made these paracord grips for a couple of my D cell Maglites this morning. On a smaller scale, I imagine it would work on the handle of a fixed blade.... hmmm...

I’ve made about four of those for my nieces. What I did was measure out a length of cord so I would have something to check the length of the bracelet. Then, I tied the bracelet so that I first set the length of the bracelet, and then started tying it. The way I did them, the finished length was pretty much right on.

    Hey! I resemble that remark!

And that stuff isn't exactly up my sleve either.
