    Hey,

Had these lanyards made and the guy had them finished and sent to me in the U.K. in under two weeks. I think they are fab and you get to mix and match colours. check out www.alexandersoutdoors.com.

Dearly wishing for a H1 Military. And a M4 Military. Add in an old school 52100 Military with wood scales while you're at it.

Keep the curved RH TD clip please!

The thin cord in there is glow-in-the-dark. Looks really cool!

    Comparison of Crows:

Sage lanyard uses black/silver thin cord to attach to a stand-off since there is no lanyard hole. This works surprisingly well!

I think if I didn't have a Rookie, this picture would make me want to buy one. I really like the lanyard on this one!

Can anybody tell me what colors are used on the sage and rookie lanyards? The sage looks like black and maybe acu grey. Does that sound right?

The rookie looks like od green and something else, but I dont know for sure.

You are right on the Sage - black and (charcoal) grey.
Rookie lanyard (now on my Para - pics to come when I get a chance) is OD green and tan.

The lanyards are made by my dad; cord is from Rotokid:

Your dad did a great job. I really like the rookie lanyard colors. I was thinking of using that color combo for my FG para.

    Thank you!
I actually have that lanyard on my FG Para now! Sounds like you have good taste.

I have been meaning to take pictures of some new knives/lanyards and will post a picture when I do.

Slings have really taken most of my time lately; first time I have gotten behind in getting orders out. Here are a few samples.

Here are some new ones. As always, lanyards are made by my dad - I think these are possibly the best yet!
Kopa - 3 cord lanyard with thin gold nylon cord, and purple and burgundy paracord:

Native 4 - thin silver cord loop with black and red paracord:

New lanyard for my mini Persian - black/iridescent green thin cord loop with yellow and teal paracord:

Para with the lanyard that used to be on my Rookie:

The 3 new lanyards that use thin cord loops. I think the 3-cord lanyards that incorporate thin cord look great, and work well on knives with small lanyard holes:

I'm new to lanyards too and have been playing around with some. I keep getting a big "glob" on the cord ends when I use a lighter to keep them from fraying. Any advice on avoiding this? Thanks everybody.

Are you using a Butane torch lighter? They work much better. A lot easier to control.

I'm kinda new to this also, but I've been told to sort of pinch/roll the end after you get it heated up and it closes off nicely with no white internal cord showing throught. ive done this maybe 20 times so far and no burned fingers and much cleaner ends.

That sounds like a better idea, liking your finger quick before touching it would stop the heat a little.

Also, i was wondering how you cover split rings? do you wrap the gutted cord round or to you put the ring through the cord?

You can cover a split ring in several ways: using different methods of ring hitching(continuous and alternate are a couple), just wrapping/looping the cord all the way around a split ring, or sliding a gutted section of cord over the split ring.

    Hi,

thanks for your info, that's what i thought, the alternate and continous hitch seems like a complex method and the photo's seem to be the end result i am looking for, i guess to seal both ends together, i could heat a thin rod and run it on both ends.

Cheers, for the help, just waiting for the paracord now
