I might have been the one that said I used a lanyard(fob) to use to pull the knife out of my pocket. here is a pic. Good discussion on uses and preferences.

Actually this was what I was thinking about. I remembered it because the lanyard seemed so long, and colorful. Don't see b-elliott around here much anymore which is a shame since he did some fasinating stuff. However, I'm sure lots of people have thought about using the fob in that way, including myself.http://spyderco.com/forums/showthrea...5&page=3&pp=15Originally Posted by b-elliott

Good for working around a dock, boat, or up a ladder.

Interesting, I was in a sporting goods store a few months back, and they had a duck lure lanyard done in the Cobra Stitch (Soloman Bar) like you have there. It was Cobra Stitch and the Cobra Twist in places. Had a few loops for the duck lures on it. Made out of poor quality cord and tied very loosly. I mean "flimsy" knid of loose.
I decided to try one with the braid/plaite instead. Can't believe how much cord it took. I didn't use enough cord and ran short at the end, but it still took over 43 feet of paracord.Made me realize how reasonable widginwackers' are.

A while back, you told me that putting a Lanyard on the Caly jr. would really improve the grip (for some one with bigger hands.) You sure were right! One of your FAF's is doing a great job on my ZDP Caly jr. Thanks, GR!![]()
