Thumbs up Only 2 other times

Since I have personally been on this great Forum ( for about a year now) I have only printed off 2 other Threads. This will definitely be number 3. I have not only found a great amount of super information but I have also found a "wellspring" of other applicable info to help with knots, knife modification, and the practical application thereof.

It has truly been a PRIVALEDGE to be on this great Forum and to be able to share ideas, opinions, and ways to get things done like this thread has more than revealed. When this thread winds down I hope to print this one and the "Time for a New Hawkbill" at the same time. This stream of information has been nothing short of super.

I have to agree that both threads (JD's "Hawksbill" and the good doctor's "lanyard") are keepers. I've always enjoyed looking at pics, and it's interesting to see what combonations people come up with knots and knives. JD's thread, OTH, was more or less a "fact finder" that "picked the people's brains", and showed us what a general consensus of what the most desired traits of a new hawksbill would be.

Interesting thing about JD's "Hawksbill" thread is that, although the majority of the ideas have been presented in the early stages of the thread, people keep "bumping" the thread. I see that as a sign of how strong the call for a new "hawskbill line" is.

The good doctor's "lanyard" thread is on of those that can continuously evolve, since it actually challenges people to explore possibilities. Hey look, it even got the good doctor himself (who admits to being so challenged that he has problems tying shoe strings) to try his hand at lanyards/fobs with satisfactory results. I'm hoping that he'll find a way to post pics. However, I can relate, as I had to borrow a friend's camera to post mine.

Here are a couple with lanyards. They help me to draw from my pocket quickly when seated.

    Dodge,
What's that on your clip? At first, I thought it was glare but, it's in both pics.

As a lefty, my para millie feels much better clipless. The clip is not uncomfortable, but the knife just melts into my hand without the clip. The G10 feels really good. I tied a fob out of some leathery stuff I have had for ages. I think it was part of some stone necklace wrapping kit someone gave me between 6 and 10 years ago (i am 18 now). It sat around then I thoguth that it mgiht be a decent fob material.

You can make a nice lanyard out of leather boot laces, I'll have to pick some up and make some more of those. It's harder knotting them, but the finished product looks nice.

It is one of my EDC clips or if you search here I called it the QDC: Quick Draw Clip. I epoxied a Glow in the dark disk to it so I can see it in the dark. After polishing the clip of all the black I blued them w/ gun blue...JSmith has one I sent him. I'd liketo see how he likes it, He never told me though.
