    An apology

I would like to apologize for starting a thread ( Good luck, Fisher of Men!) which went very fast out of control in the direction of 'whine and cheese' threads.
I wanted to point ironically a strange behavior of esteemed FoM. Nothing personal, no hate.
Especially, I apologize to RLR for what he cosidered to be a quotation out of context. My intention was to point out that even BM people advice F0M to look back at the Spyderco site for steel education. Well, now I see that RLR is 3 times more active here then at BM forum.
BTW, I have a very high opinion about BM. When I got recently a BM710HS I posted a thread at the BM forum with a praise for the knife. I honestly said that I am a Spyderco-man, but appreciate every excellent knife. I even promised to write something about comparison of BM710HS and Lil' T.
I am very sorry, if I offended (non-intentionally!) somebody.

I would suggest you maybe not buy knives, or if you do you just go get some $20 Buck knife from Home Depot and forget about it.

I'm just tired of seeing this forum ruined by garbage talk coming out of your mouth via a keyboard.

If you're going to do this again....just leave man. Just leave.

and then a few weeks later he posts the same exact question seen

In the very near future I'm going to be trying to grab a black bladed Para-Mil and I would rather have the one that is like the top photo. Can anyone tell me which is the current kind and if I can get the kind in the top picture?

I have this gut feeling telling me the top picture is a prototype and is non-existant.

The top photo is the one from Spyderco's website, and the bottom one has been photoshopped to remove logo's from a familiar online dealer we all like

Is the bottom one the only one out there? If that's the case I think I'll go for the standard non coated blade.

    Thanks for reading,
    David

    Fom Is Junk!!!

Fom Is Junk, He Was Junk When He First Got Here, And He Attacked Me For Liking American Cars And Companies, not That Being Attacked Bothered Me In The Least But He Was Junk. He Was Junk While He Was Here, Quitting And Coming Back With Some Drama About This Or That, Even Putting Up Bm Avatars. His Opinions Were Junk Changing Everyday. And He Was Junk When He Left!! I Make No Apologies As I Gave Him More Chances And He Just Kept Coming Back As Junk. I Wont Apologize To Fom, His Antics Were Childish And I Wonder If He Should Even Be Allowed To Own Knives At All.

I Dont Want To Hijack This Thread As I Know It Is Not Mine But If Anything Fom Should Apoligize For His Time Spent Here, It Was An Embarrasment. #9

I like knives. I like knives from at least three brands. I like some less than others, come back to them, and like it better.

GOD but why can't we like different things and not get on each others goat about it

People express their opinions, sometimes very strongly ~ I can live with it, that's democracy, boys.

I say, as has been said, several times, lets keep it knives and fun.

FoM was wacky to say the least. Seemed like a nice guy but could go off pretty easily. He's had some tussles over at BF as well. I think he'll be back. Once you get bitten by the Spyder, there is no escape.

(More pearls of wisdom from our friend Fisher)
    RLR,

Great post. Thanks for that info.

Yeah, I know I can like more than 1 company. I think I gave Spyderco a fair shot and I just don't get the feeling of "quality" in a Spyderco that I do from a Benchmade. Just my humble opinion .

I think I'm just going to go with my gut instinct and be happy with my 722 and my Grips.

    God Bless,
    David

(I think that FoM was treated pretty nicely here so don't know why he has such an act to grind, no quality in Spydercos? I guess my Manix, Kopa and Millie are junk. Sheesh.)

FoM has proven to be an unstable person. I am sure he causes more problems for himself than for others. I am glad I am not in his shoes.

    Exclamation FoM

    My Dear Friends,

I have corresponded with David quite a bit over the past few months, and have found him to be a truly wonderful person. He is currently attempting to find his way to the knives of his dreams and has determined that Spyderco knives are probably not what he is seeking (for whatever reason). Granted, his search has been more public than many by his posting here.

His criteria for the knives he wants to possess is simply different than ours. I bear him no ill will, and will hopefully continue in my friendship with him. I truly hope he finds what he is seeking.

    ------------------
    Respectfully yours,

    Hannibal

Nothing is worth the agony he struggles with. When knives get to that point, take up golf, bail out, or do whatever to chill.

I also hope he finds what he is seeking. Unfortunately, I think it is more than just the knife of his dreams.
