Dial-up is the Devil's friend. I know as I have dial-up. Storms and a good sneeze and dial-up is down.

Hey I feel your pain. Welcome back! Tell me how the Comcast works out for ya. Been thinking about doing the same.

Comcast works great.I had it before but switched to bellsouth thinking it would save a good bit of cash.Bellsouth told me that with the plan I got the bill would not be more than 85.00 per month.Well after not ever recieveing a 99.00 credit that was due me and not ever getting a bill that was less than 112.00 I decided to go back to comcast. As soon as Comcast starts offering phone service I will get rid of bellsouth all together.

~ USD 100 for internet access? Per month??? I didnīt know that itīs THAT expensive in the US.

Here the cheapest possibility for broadband internet via TV-cable has a flat rate of ~ EUR 20 which is approximately USD 26,--

    Cheers, Rob

That price is not just for ISP service. The Bellsouth charge is for unlimited long distance, caller ID,call waiting, ect and DSL internet.
Comcast that I have now is cable internet and digital cable TV.After signing back up with them I got the Comcast ISP and TV for 59.95 per month for 12 months.
