I don't know how did I miss it in the first place but there's another great spydie scene in Cliffhanger!
a moutain rescuer uses his endura to cut the harness of a parachute...

    first you take your endura

then you do an inertia opening (because it's so much cooler )

note that the man knows what he's doing, he's packing teeth!

the result: old man with SE spydie 1 - Parachute Harness 0 (clean cut on top of that!)

Totally agree. They didn't do much different in Cube 2.

, so I guess Cube 3 will be just for the knife
I think you'll be suprised, but I won't spoil it for you.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

I've seen cube zero and I've seen the hawkbill blade, but it's not an harpy. if you want i can post the screenshot. Le blade as not the same tip as the spyderco model and, there isn't the spyderhole on the blade.
It's an another anonymous knife. tant pis.
Moreover Cube zero is very boring, a lot of blood and the story isn't wonderful. and there isn't spyderco. Snif.

I am a huge fan of CSI, and there are aways Spydercos on that show. I dont know the titles of the episodes, and I am not as computer literate as some of you to get screen grabs, but:

In one episode, a man was buried up to his neck in dirt, and his face was cut by an SE Delica to attract animals.

In one episode, during a police convention in Vegas, an SE Endura was sued to cut open a powerbar and insert some sort of pill that resulted in a heart attack.

Also, there was a movie with tom Berringer, where he was a serial killer, and he used a Delica II to kill his victims. I cant remember the name of the movie.

Thats about all I can remember right now.

I actually have all the Spydercos I want. Isn't that wierd? On second though, no I don't...

Your right about the . Sorry, I jumped the gun.
Still think it was interesting though, mainly because it provided a backdrop for the other two.

You never know if the knives end up on film or the cutting room floor, or in someone's pocket but Mission Impossible III called yesterday looking for some samples. Hopefully.....

Joyce, do they buy the knive or are you supposed to give them away as "promotional items"?

Always wondered where those knives stay after the filming, do they send them back, or don't they have a "props room"?

    Mission: Implausible...

If they are free promotional items, then just let me say that I myself have recently gotten into film-making in a big way!

    take care...

Actually all of the above. It's not uncommon that production companies and prop masters procure the knives on their own without our knowing even. If we provide samples we normally don't ask they be returned unless we're talking about a great number. We'd rather know the knives are in someone's pocket being used than sitting on a shelf somewhere gathering cobwebs.

you can only do it on a computer, either the dvd player software or the TV software will have a screenshot capture function. you click the right button and it creates an image (JPG or BMP) on your harddrive.
