    Episode III...who else can't wait?

    Aloha ALL!

I can't wait to see this one...Obviously as you can see by what I did to my Shinai in my avatar! LOL! I must admit, I am a HUGE fan of the Star Wars movies...I am kinda glad that "looking kinda spooky" can help at times...I just bought a Darth Vader voice changer helmet at WalMart tonight and although I got "looks", no one said anything! LOL! I always wanted to order the "bad Anakin's" helmet when i saw ads for it in magazines like Famous Monsters, Creepy, Vampirella...but grandpa said, "Hell no!" *sigh*, so when I saw this one, I HAD to get it! Kinda funny too in that instead of me sighing, my wife did it this time when I had "Vader's head" in my arms!

Deacon: Are you gonna check this out to see how "Darth Tater" became the way he did? Or are you just gonna spend that ticket money on more "SPUDerco's"? I know my "TOT" wants to see it. Good thing "Frywalker" was merely a "CHIP" of the old block eh? Man, just thinking of the movie gets me all "Pringley" inside!!! (LOL! Sorry, couldn't resist! )

    God bless

    I can wait.
I'm still not over the fact that Episode I was a huuuuuge disapointment.
Episode II was already better, with interesting links with 4,5 et 6 but still not enough to win me over. Of course, I'm not a diehard fan like you are. I'm probably more excited about "Batman, the beginning" than Episode III....but that's just me.

    Talking Have Been Waiting

Episode 1 was pretty good, but for whatever reason I lost interest before Episode 2 came out, though I was a huge fan of 4, 5 and 6.

I will probably rent Episode 2 soon and watch it soon, as I have been told Yoda kicks @$$ in it. I'll probably go to see Episode 3 at the theater.

I won't be one of the hundreds lined up opening night but I will see it on the big screen. I am really looking forward to it. I have to rent 2 again to refresh my memory. I though 1 was good. It is hard to beat 4,5 and 6 though.

    Aloha ALL!

Yes, the orginal 4-6 can never be beat as far as I am concerned. To me, they totally overdid the technology in both I and II...I wanna see Obi Wan kick Anakin's @$$ !!! LOL!

Senate: LOL! Dude, that was a TRiP huh?

    Lord Vader.
    Yes Master?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzze. I can hear this part being used in some techno or trance music for sure!!!

OBTW, Hannibal...YES. Yoda does kick @$$, and shows more or less WHY he's the "Big Dawg" of the Jedi Order!

I want to see it, that's for sure. I have all the other episodes on DVD. But, I think I'll wait till the DVD comes out, going to the movies is not the thrill it once was, at least not for me. Between the "downsizing" of screens, the "chase everyone out as soon as the show's over, even if there are only going to be ten people watching the next showing" mentality of the theater management, the absurd prices of both tickets and "snacks", and the ever icreasing level of rudeness among the patrons (I think bringing a cell phone into a movie theater should be a hanging offense), it's just not fun anymore. Not to mention that the DVD will probably cost about the same as a ticket, popcorn and a drink. If it were coming out in late July, where I could justify it as a couple hours of relief from the heat, maybe, but in the spring, nah.

I was in the lineup for 4hrs to get in to see episode 1, had my ticket a month in advance(my sister worked at the theater).

episode 2 I had to go see a 2nd time, first time I didn't see a lot of movie

I'll be seeing 3 when it comes to the theaters. No way to get the sound the same with home theater.

Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?
Slowly going crazy at work... they found a way to make the voices work too.

LOL, geez VW...had to see II twice eh? remember the SECOND time you saw it...how the heck were the sound effects of the Seismic Charges going off from Jango's ship?! Nutz huh!

    Bona Fide Addict Here!

With a screen name like mine, does anyone need to ask?

I grew up on Star Wars, I was four in 1977. Most of my childhood memories of playing with toys are all about Darth Vader and Luke battling it out.

Now that I'm older... nah, who am I kidding! It's still all about Anakin getting his butt kicked! And what's with that freaky General Greivous skeleton looking guy?

I'm eagerly awaiting Episode III, mostly because it looks to be sufficiently darker in tone and a good bridge between 1, 2 and 4,5,6. (As a note, Lucas has been quoted as saying that 3 will make a lot of things in 1 that no one liked be more bearable. Does that mean he'll kill off Jar-Jar?)

In spite of being quite the Star Wars junkie, I think I'm looking MORE forward to Batman Begins, Sin City, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Pendragon Pictures' version of War of the Worlds (NOT the Spielberg one). Mostly because after 30 years, Star Wars isn't quite NEW anymore, more like an old friend.

With today's home theaters it is easy to get way better sound than going out to a cinema.
I will still be seeing it in the theater as I have several friends that have moved away, that are coming back to see it here.
The trailer makes Ep.3 look much more "grown up" and therefore hopefully much better.
Where's Han Solo? Should have been in the trailer as a lot of people liked that character the best.

    Aloha all!

Tank: well, as for my Star Wars treaures, I HAD almost everything from the "original era". BUT, my grandfather, who was very strict due to his military "life", stepped on one of my Lego's and there went ALL my toys! I had the Death Star playset, X-wings, Tie fighters, Tauntauns, Dewbacks, the cantina scene, almost if not ALL the figures...*sigh*, I even had a special Boba Fett that you could only get by sending in proof of purchases!!! He just came in a white box, similar to a knife box. That was it...no packaging, no nothing.

Currently, I got some of the newer stuff from these "Episode" movies...I think my "daughter's" ( ) talking/moving Darth Vader Bank right now is my fave...er, her fave.

CIVILIAN: Good to see you here! Han would be a youngin' in this one though...he was my favorite good guy in New Hope...funny.

    God bless you guys

    DAYWALKER,
Watched that cartoon last knight. Way cool. Thanks for turning me on to it.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

    Aloha Darth Miklos!

LOL, I should have known! Same here regarding how I grew up w/ Star Wars. Gosh, I remember my first "official lightsaber" was nothing more than what appeared to be a RayOvac flashlight with a golf tube on it! I am sure my sister remembers those days in a traumatic way!!! LOL! "C'mere Leia! Flash! Bash!" Now PLEASE...don't get me started on Batman!!!

Good to see ya too jbake! Will e ya soon regarding the "tailhook"...

    God bless

PS: Here's that Vader Head i picked up the other night...

I used to be a moderat fan. Saw "Empire" 12 times when it was at the theater back when it first came out and up untill a few years ago I read most of the books (never got into the "Children of The Jedi" series.) Really enjoyed the bounty hunter wars. Even collected a couple of the comic series.

In the past couple years I've just found other things to do with my time. I did enjoy watching episode I, and II but they just were not the same as 4,5, and 6. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
