I've been meaning to post this a few days ago but life's so unpredictable
It's that time of the year again, folks! The Oscars are around the corner, which is always exciting for the film student I am!
Overall, I think 'Million dollar baby" will sweep most of the big trophees (best picture, best male actor, best female actor). Certainly not the best film I have ever seen, but the same applies for the Lord of the Ring....and you know...Clint Eastwood deserves it, not for this movie alone but for his entire career. It's pretty good when you think he was slowly recovering from "Space Cowboys" lol. There is a slight chance that Jamie Foxx will get credit for his supporting role in Collateral. There's also a chance for "Eternal sunshine..." in original screenplay
My vote for best foreign language(remember last year Quebec one with Arcand's Barbarian invasions!) will be Mar anderto. I pray to God "Super-size me" won't win for best documentary and guys, check out "Ryan", nominated for best animated short. It's about Ryan Larkins, one of Quebec's most creative filmmaker who fought a drug addiction all his life and is now begging for money in from of Schwartz on Sherbrooke. You don't have to like Larkin's work to appreciate this wonderful documentary.
Agrre/disagree with my picks? Feel free to bring you opinion to the discussion!
