    Holiday Festivities

Last night, D-Block was the scene of a brawl among the inmates. Eight inmates were appehended and locked up. As far as I know, no friendly casualties.

The tension is way up. The crooks who were fighting were mostly hispanic, which points to it being gang-related.

Inmates all over the prison today were extra loud and boisterous. The Holidays are coming, and things usually get weird around this time of year.

    Aloha Jim!

Good to hear no good guys got injured...
man, I hear ya about "this time of year"...Do they celebrate the New Year by kicking and banging on their cell doors? They do this here, it's their form of fireworks.

Stay safe, God bless, and yes, 1*!!!

Yeah, they do all kinds of goofy things.

The worst cell door-banging, though, is when the Philadelphia Eagles scrore a touchdown. Most of the inmates here are die-hard Eagles zealots.

    This sounds kind of strange:

"Eight inmates were appehended and locked up."

I thought if you were in prison you are locked-up. Show's ya how much I know about this prison stuff. I like the twilight zone flick where they put hardcore criminals on an astorid, but than you would be out of a job!

Last night I was watching "The Last Castle" with Robert Redford. It's about a military prison (but I guess you've seen the movie already). It was looking to me more comfortable to rule a military prison than a civilian one. At least soldiers are used to discipline.

    Howzit guys!

cdf, mahalo for the "stay safe"...right back at ya man...God bless!

Ken...Ooh, you mean that episode where the Chief Officer brings that inmate on the asteroid a robot lady? That was FrEaKy that one!!!

Alexandru The Great:..Yeah...you're partially right. Inmates who have been in the military are usually more obediant than most. Some are just whacked out due to excesive drug use...sad. OBTW, Mahalo MUCH bro!!!

    Wink

Speaking of radical measures, how about that "Escape from Absolom"? (I hope this is the correct movie name). Anyway, they put all the bad guys on an isolated island (satellite survey) and left them cope with the environment by themselves. Of course, finally there were several groups formed, the good, the bad and the ugly guys

    Aloha Alexandru the Great!

Never saw that movie...but it kinda sounds like my job in the way admin and the "higher ups" treat us! We're NOT the bda guys, but they throw us into an unsanitary, unsafe working environment and expect us to "deal with it"! Officer safety is NEVER an issue for them, because they're safely sitting behind a desk all day! *sigh* So when staff complains to the union about officer safety concerns, our union calls our COS and Warden and they say,"What? There is nothing to be concerned about regarding our safety! We're quite safe!"...the joy of being a CO!!!

After a quick search, I found that the movie was known under several names, so I put here a link to the movie review. It is most likely you've seen it already.
