Isn't the core steel still exposed in the pivot? You can see it in the Spydiehole so I assumed it would be the same in the pivot.

In case anyone is interested, national knives has both the SB stretch and delica in stock. And they're a pleasure to deal with...I even got a smiley face drawn on the invoice of my last order.
The SB core is still exposed on the spine, inside the Spydiehole so I would assume it would be exposed inside the pivot, right? I haven't taken my Delica apart to check but I think I'll keep it oiled...
It is a superb cutting implement. From my experience, even with diligent maintenance this steel will develop a patina... i.e.- signs of use. Why deny it something it excels at?
And for that price, I would've pounced even though I already have one.
