I'm glad it's serving you guys well, but it's not something I'd do to my Chaparral.
Same here. I tried a MB, but couldn't get past that blade-shape.
Thanks for the video review and good riddance to that ugly-a** blue version :).
For me, the Ladybug. I could never get past the looks of the blade on the Manbug. I have such a small collection of knives, the ones I decide to keep must be pleasing to the eye to me, regardless...
The looks. If I can't appreciate the looks of something, I can't keep it in my very small collection, no matter how well it may work.
I never could get past the blade shape/profile of the Delica-4.
I love the CF texture on the Sage-1 and Chaparral. Any other texturing probably isn't going to do it for me.
SB steel does nothing for me. S30V, VG10 or CTS-XHP is just fine for me. Could care less about a patina as well. I don't want safe-queens or only-for-show knives. I want something that does what...
Thanks. I thought I was the only one that didn't care for the look of the laminate blade.
Thanks. I'm unfamiliar with the Domino. Does anyone know if the Domino and Sage-1 CF is the same?
Yep, that would be me. Could never get passed how ugly it looked, to me. Now that a CF...
Is it the same CF that's used on the Sage-1 and Chaparral?
Probably better for a different thread, but was the big excitement about these laminated blades? They don't appeal to me, at all. Just wondering what I'm missing.
I have both and would say the Chaparral-CF, hands down. It's built better than the Caly, based on my experiences and feels better in my hand. It's smaller and shorter, so that may way into your...
Love my Chaparral CF.
So, almost 2-years have past since you made this reply. Has anything changed to allow this forum to support TT? It can't be that difficult or involve that much maintenance when done properly, since...
Not Alox, but here's your ZDP-189 in a SAK if that's what you really want.
Personally, I like the Saks the way they are now. The steel sharpens easily in the field.
There are already Victorinoxes that do #1 and #2.
Seriously Spyderco Admin(s)..... it's 2014 and allowing TapaTalk access to the forum would be greatly appreciated, as well as making it an easier more use-friendly customer experience.
My 1st one was junk and I sent it back for a refund. My 2nd one is OK, but still has up/down play, something that my $15 Ka-Bar Dozier Hunter folders do not. In additional, I don't like the feel of...
Nice review. Glad it worked out for you and I wish my experiences would have been similar to yours.
I've owned both. I still have my Chaparral. Never liked the look/feel of the Delica-4, but I certainly tried my best to like it. The Chaparral is my one Spyderco that I'd never get rid of.
I've been carrying only my Victorinox Executive and Cadet exclusively for the last month or so. I'm finding that I prefer to allocate my pocket(s) space to a SAK that provides more than the single...
I'd not use anything on it. Just a last minute, out in the field, nothing else available, strop. The old pouch allowed that to be possible. From what I hear, the new one does not and even worse,...
