here it is finished
thanks man! i just started making my own scales Saturday. Thus, I'm still learning....
Thanks, Mikael. I like yours, too. I really like the Pingo. Like I said, there's a lot of blade there to play with/mod, and I really do like the original shape too. My black one stays just like it is.
The latest model to be developed for g-code was this Yojimbo. Owner wanted blue/black layered G10 in the Anso texture...
Steve, got your email and those Yo2 Anso slabs look great!
Not really a mod as such, just a humble little kydex sheath with a TekLok on the back for belt mounting, pocket clip removed and a forced patina.
How it lives when I'm playing silly beggars ;)
I never really enjoyed the grey G10 on the 20CP PM2. It was time for a change, so I did a blade swop with a black on black PM2. The swop went well, both lock up solid with no play. I'm very pleased...
After a good sharpening, the 20CP now feels like a new knife.
I think the grey and black works well. It will now be used for travelling or camping etc, when I do not want to risk a sprint run.
That grey and black combo is handsome! Changed the character of the Para 2 completely... a good idea with a great outcome!
Serge, that stonewash job on the tenacious is amazing! You must tell how you did that!
Nice job, Mikael.
Hi guys! ^^
I'm new here, but I wanted to share my modded Ladybug ZDP-189. This was my first attempt at file work and a slipjoint conversion too (not pictured).
I have also reprofiled the blade to a more acute grind. I had initially convexed the blade when I first got it but decided acute v grind was better suited to this steel for those lovely laser scalpel like cuts.
