Anyone have a guess at the MSRP? I was thinking it'd be higher then the CF sprints.
It would definitely stop me from looking at Sebenza's though. Might even bump my SMF out of my pocket.
It'd probably be the last spydie I'd have to buy. I put my 440V through hell, and I haven't been easy on my S30V. Can just imagine the tank that a Ti version will be.
I'm still up in the air about this one. In general, I don't like metal handles other than the Police, and I have never held a framelock that I liked. I think if they are going to run the cost up anyway, they might just as well use something better than S30V for the blade. At a guess, I'd put the MSRP on this one in the $369 range with a street price over $200.
Tom has then available for pre-order, just over $200. Not bad considering what the CF sprints went for.
I'm picking up two. If I don't like it, I'll trade them up for something, but I figure a Sebenza with the Military ergo's and blade is going to be pretty sweet. I just want some pics!
It sounds like my guess was pretty close.
It was. No word on what the MSRP is though, first Spyderco over $400 anyone?
So where are they for pre-order now? Have to get my order in.
I assume the "Tom" referred to was catamount's web store, spydercovt.com.
Well, email fired off to Tom, let's see what he can do.
I got on pre-order lists for 2 dealers, Tom being one of them, the prices I was quoted were 214.95 and 224.95 with the msrp being 350.00. I was also told the first version will be a liner lock with Ti scales, not a framelock, and the run will be 300 pieces. Also sounded like the release will be quite a ways off, perhaps not even this year, anyone else hear ETA times?
