Found this one on the Bay, took me a minute looking it over to ensure it was a fake, China is getting better and better. The velcro pouch was a giveaway though :)

I just spent the last 5 min looking at pictures of the poliwog trying to determine if this was fake. The price was the giveaway for me. I would love to know who the "reputable" store was where this guy claims he bought these.

On top of that, the markings are wrong, the pivot bolt is wrong (although arguably better looking than the real one), Spyderco never offered a pouch like that with any knife, and if you look carefully, the lock isn't a spherical ball, it's a round rod with rounded ends.

Yeah, all those Poliwogs are easily recognized by the flattened locking 'ball' and the clip. There are better fakes, I remember the UKPK or the Stretch had almost an identical fake with missing holes for left hand carry. It's the same Poliwog fake that had been for a while, but without the black/camo paint job.

I'm sure the Seller's "designer sunglasses (from the likes of Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Fendi, Cavalli, Bolle, etc)" are all legit as well...

Shut 'em down, I say...
