Looks really nice - I am not usually a fan of stag/natural handles but as an inlay it helps to break up the slabs of SS nicely :)

It's listed at some other places, so I'm sure it's not just an SFO deal. Glad I waited on the plain SS version, I like this one even better

i went to buy 2 of them today and they were gone!
im like wtf, already? :eek::mad:
i called sfo and he said they were never in stock yet. they are "in house" and after QC they will be for sale soon. they are not just from sfo....kc will have them if they decided to buy that model for resale. which they are.
so mid next week you can buy it from sfo. so it says out of stock now but next week it will be good to go. :D

Saw this knife at the SFO the other day and I have to say I was disappointed. Thought it would be more like the previous stag handle model. The inlays stood very proud from the frame (they stuck out alot.)

This is one knife I wont buy unless found at the Seconds Sale.
I really like the Kiwi and have a bunch of them, nothing like Deacon, but just could not part with the $$ for a knife that didnt do it for me.

I hope all who have purchased will enjoy and use this newest addition to the Spyderco family.

I bought the SS for my wife. She had the red bone lockback but lost it to the TSA, much to my chagrin. The new slipjoints are clearly not of the same quality, though I shouldn't be surprised considering the price point. The slipjoint is a great deal.
The profile of both the blade and handle are different from the original kiwis, just a bit larger on both accounts. The original kiwi has a remarkable feel and fit in the hand. The slippy doesn't, ah well.

Mine was delivered this morning. I was unaware that the stag stood out from the frame so much, but I think it will make for a more positive grip. The knife overall is a bit longer than my carbon fiber Kiwi 2.
