Is this a consumer direct item, like the Swick2?
Or will this be available in the normal distribution chain?
Best,
Marion

Marion,
This is a limited run that is only available consumer direct. Limited enough that we've placed a maximum purchase of 2 per customer.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
These are not "seconds" like the handled ones, right? Does it come with the normal Spyderco warranty?

Interestingly (maybe?), the blank blade and the finished "seconds" are essentially the same price. There's an argument for buying a finished second and keeping it as is if the handle is tolerable - if it isn't, you lost nothing other than the effort to remove the scales.
I assume that the warranty limitation on the seconds applies only to the scales - that the blade itself is fully warranted?

One of the reasons seconds in general are cheap is that they are sold without warranty. They may still be a good buy. Unless O-1 is known to be prone to cracking there's not all that many ways a FB's blade could become defective.

Agree. Actually, the price analysis should include the sheath, which I believe is included with the seconds.

I'd recommend the second over the blank for the reasons given. My handle is great- see mini review in main section.
