Wow, a custom knockoff. On a side note, I'd buy a bigger cricket.

Definitely a knock-off, good catch.
That being said, it actually looks pretty good. They did a sweet job on the mirror-polish and scales.

Listing doesn't mention Spyderco anywhere, it states exactly what the knife is. Aside from having a somewhat similar blade and overall shape, the knife could not really be mistook for a Cricket. Only real "issue" I see is the maker's use of the Spyderhole opener, and that assumes he is not licensed to do so. IIRC, at least one custom maker in that part of the world is licensed, so even that assumption may be invalid.

From the description, if there was a Cricket in the picture with it, the difference would be obvious. It looks to be about halfway between a Cricket and a Matriarch in size, which is something Spyderco has not made, so it can't really be considered a knock-off. As far as I know, there is no patent on the reverse-S blade shape, leaving the only questionable feature the Spyderhole, and as Paul pointed out, even that may be legitimate.

It looks like a cricket. They took the design from the cricket. I think of it as a copy. :)
