Limited, but not sprint. Supposedly the capacity is 50-100/month, so I'm sure there will be a waiting period after the initial release sells out.

"Crook" I don't know about, but I still fail to see a compelling reason why anyone would buy from him over any number of absolutely excellent e-tailers out there.

His prices are way high, shipping options seemed limited and slow, and the few videos I've watched of his do not convince me he's even all that knowledgeable. I'm left with the impression that he's a self-styled aficionado and I find that irritating, be it with knives or anything. Spyderco has a really rich and interesting history of product but I think it's only recently he's jumped on the bandwagon. Smacks of being disingenuous.

I agree, he won't be seeing any of my business either.


Back on topic, I too am looking forward to picking one of these up. Curious to see how all that Ti feels in hand.

firebat i didnt get my ti mili from him! i just said those looking can "choose" spydieguys but i wont give him a cent of my business. it is up too you, you want it that bad then go to jess. or just wait for the preorders to start moving and then you will find them everywhere. i got mine cause i signed up for a preorder and i got the call. to be honest i had the money set aside but was gonna get soemthing else i wanted more... but i signed up and since i got the call he said to pay and i did. they are on ebay, now that i think about it WandW had it at 345 can two weeks ago. not 295 can. the new knife "push" abou the ti mil will fade in a few weeks and you wil get yours. it is heavy though. still nice. the titanium has a darker look then sage sage ti imo

and this is not just me agreeing with any spydieguys bashing. i feel the same way. and his videos are VERY disrespectful, dont rub it in that you have the capital on hand to buy up all the forum natives then brag about it and call us crybabys for being upset about it. or make video after video about us crying since that scuzbag bought them all up to make a buck on ebay! he needs to learn you wrong even one customer now a days a thousand people online will read it. he knows his business is on the line. poor feedback is a big deal. they use to have the gold star next to the name, too many bad reviews go that star taken away... like poorfish and that guy with the sage cf. he left bad feedback and fifty people saw it and poor fish thought it would hurt the bottom line and they made it right (poorfish is great by the way-no probs with them-they treat me right) the viral advertising the internet allows doesnt lend itself too well to a company doing you wrong. the customer can go bitch on a blog or forum and hundreds see it. i am glad people like you say you wont use jess store becuase what you have seen or heard from others. good luck on your mili search. i know you will get one:)

no i know. i just dont like people saying he deserves a pass for his behavior. do i make videos about him? i agree with you totaly. if he would just be honest about his practices, selling the only knife in stock to the highest bidder or sell the "buy it now" for 250 then a bidder wins that same knife at a low bid but then he sells the guy who bought it now for the higher price and tells the other guy who won 2 days before at teh low bid he will have to wait a week... i could go on forever but i wont dirty up sals living room but i feel he is real shady and wouldnt recommend using him. but its a free country. use him if you had no probs with him in the past

My first one arrived yesterday and I'm pretty impressed, fit and finish are excellent and it may be the sharpest Spyderco out of the box I have ever received. Its heavy but not bad, it feels great in hand and the lock is super solid, its a little stiff to release but thats a good thing to me.

to be honest i didnt really want to go into this again. im trying to end this whole thing but for the last time i will explain the situation and try to clarify my distaste for him. i dont like jess, i feel he is a liar and crook. although my opinions about him shouldn't be posted all over sal's forum whenever his name pops up. i had a long conversation with a few people, also a couple of people and i pm'd back and forth. a forumite apologized, i accepted and said lets end it and just put it behind us and talk about spydercos instead. i promised not to be disrespectful to forum members in his defense who disagree about him, especially when they are correct about it being the "right and wrong place to talk about this stuff." this is the wrong place obviously. that said if someone ask me my opinion of them or if he/she should use spydieguys, i will always be honest and say dont use them imho. if you have never had any problems and like using him, then more power to you. keep it up. after all anywhere you get a spyderco is ok, i am pleased so many people love them and want to buy them. even if its from him. i just dont advocate using him. as far as the video you asked about it is not my video so i will not break the rules and post something that is not my property. if you want to see it i am sure if you type his name into a search engine plus the word youtube his account will pop up. or you can go to his website. the video doesn't say what i said above. it is just a video of him laughing at us for being "crybaby's" and to stop whining that he bought up all the 09 forum natives. he bought them and gave some away to drive up page views on his new site. he felt offended so many forumites got pissed at him when so many of us lost out on getting one of the natives. they are on ebay now for 3 or even 4 times the amount sal was selling them to us for... forum members. i believe he left after that and doesn't post here anymore. i agree that some of the stuff i said was pretty disrespectful and i apologized to the 2 people i was pm'ing with and we agreed to disagree about this subject. like they said (and they are right) i have freedom of speech but that doesn't mean i should always use it here. i hope everything worked out with the problem you had with them and hopefully you will take your own advice and never use them again and not ever have that problem again. in all fairness not paying quickly is not a "cool" thing to do, but instead of getting the ebay cops after you he could of just sent you an email and said "listen, you owe me this money. fair is fair. some one else could of bought it instead." that has happened to me, and after an email from the seller it jogged my memory. hopefully he didn't send it without the box just to spite you. maybe he did. i dont know. anyway, sorry for "wall of text" but i wanted to clear up some misconceptions. from now on all i will be saying is i recommend not using him for obvious reasons. hope everything is cool and works out. glad your down with spyderco and hope you buy hundreds of them!:) take care:)

So as a general rule. Are you more upset that they are sold on eBay? Do you not agree with selling Spyderco's on eBay? I have had plans to sell on eBay since becoming a Spyderco Dealer. Is this a negative for people?

no not at all, i love ebay. everyone does! you can save hundreds and find things you can only dream about at your local seller/dealer. its just a double edge sword. there are liars and criminals who use ebay and there policy's to scam people left and right. but normally selling on ebay is totally cool! most of us get our old school, dc'd, sprint, and hard to find spydies on ebay. it is hit and miss though. you can get some nube who doesn't know what he is doing to sell you something WAY below the correct amount. but you can also get jipped, bad! or people never send it or damage it or misrepresent it or other unscrupulous activities. just dont sell, or let people bid, on items you dont currently have in stock and then tell them to wait for weeks. you know accept there money then leave them hanging and never respond to there emails. so if you can get a good reputation, and i dont mean just a high feedback, i mean like poorfish. you know its cool to go there and that they are reliable and no one normally has a complaint. so go head and sell away. but dont burn your fellow spydie lovers. because like they say....ebay can be your best friend and your worse enemy.:)

I called SFO today, all Ti Mil RILs are out of stock. The usual dealers are dry as well.

Sal or Taz, can you update us as to when they will be shipping more? And shouldn't all new models have the upgraded lockbar?
