At least he is now taking the time to come up with creative stories about the origins of his Frankenspyders. Looks like the results of a one night stand between a Caspian Salt and a karambit.

This is not a Spyderco model. Employees were permitted to make a few knives for their own use during break time at the factory in Colorado, and this may be one.

Uh...Yeah...right! :D

Dr. Frankenspyder strikes again! :eek::eek::eek:

How long are those work breaks again?

Nice story so in Colorado spyderco employers like to stay awake in factory during full moon nights making genetical experiments
this one look like crosstype between Terzuola and caspian!

caspiuola model with a Bill Moran touch.

My own personal opinion, even if that was a genuine Spyderco production model, I wouldn't be very interested.

Was such a thing as personal use of the knife making equipment ever allowed at Spyderco?

I would imagine its not that unlikely. There have been "lunch box knives" from many of the old American cutlery firms. With this seller, its hard to be sure that anything he says is true though. I hope no one here is buying from him.
