So I just got a Byrd G-10 Flight the other day from New Graham and the build quality of these Byrds keep on getting better and better as they "evolve" through time ;) ...the clip has been changed to a black "skeletonized" one which is both lighter and more discreet, and the tension of the clip on this one is "spot on".
If the F&F of the Tenacious is better than this G-10 Flight then I am confident that the Tenacious will be an excellent knife regardless of its origin of manufacture. Here are some lock and spine pix of the Flight.

nice pics, brian -- i agree that the G10 flight is one amazing knife. (also like the G10 caracara!). the feel of byrd G10, especially on the flight, reminds me of that of some of the older spydies... in a good way.
G10 crossbill, crow, raven, wings -- all on my list. any byrd G10 knife -- i must own it!!! :D
and yea -- both a PE and SE tenacious will be headed my way as soon as new graham's got 'em!

Wow. Nice close-up pics Brian. The F&F looks very good. When I got my G10 Robin it had a few issues in the beginning. Because of that, I thought I would give the Byrd line a while to catch up and come into it's own. Now it looks like I need to get another Byrd when I have a chance, nice thing is it takes less cash to get one:)

I've been thinking that a G-10 Flight/Crossbill combo would be an excellent gift set to someone that appreciates knives, but needs some quality blades. Not too expensive to gift to someone, and best of all, it gets them interested in Spyderco! :D

I really like the back spacers on the Byrds. I know some complain about them being traps for gunk and what not but I dig the look. I'd like to see some Spyderco knives with something similar... perhaps not as deep?

Thanks for looking guys... :)
yeah dedguy I didn't like those "scalloped" divots in the back spacer at first... but with time i've "warmed up" to them... ;) Interestingly enough, IIRC some of my Bladetech Lite models have the same "divots" on their backspacer too ... like the ProhunterLite although it is made in Taiwan

I precisely agree with you and the others. The Byrds line is very valuable low budget knives. I own a Cara Cara G10 besides my Spydies. Spydies are too expensive in my country (Hungary) for an EDC, especially considering my wage. But I think I have to buy almost all the Byrd G10 series. I love all. And I'm excitedly waiting for the Catbyrd, too!
