Hello all, I just joined up here. I have long been a fan of Spyderco products. I have been customizing knives for awhile now and thought I would post my latest one. All of the work is hand done and hand engraved. I am proud of this one, and would like to get your opinions on it. I look forward to hearing form everyone soon.

I am more of a black G-10 handle user type of Spyderco owner. Every now and then, though, something like this really catches my eye. Very nicely done. I spent quite a few years in the Southwest, and this just appears to be outstanding Western work. Don't be surprised if you get a few private messages asking for details or for prices for work on their knives (one of them might even be from me:cool: )

Welcome aboard the forum. Enjoy the ride.

As I said in another thread that has a picture of a David Yellowhorse Custom Knife that I love, I normally don't go for custom knives, but this one here really catches my eye! That is a very nice piece of work!

I especially like the coppery color to it. I make chainmail jewelry for myself and others, and the things that I make for myself have copper in them, because I really like the look of copper :D

P.S. That would appear to be a Byrd Cara Cara, am I correct?

Hello
Thanks for the comment, I am glad it catches the eye. I really like the copper, and it is popular here in TX. I use it on lots of spurs, buckles, and other hardware. I like the way it takes on a leather look after it tarnishes a bit. This knife is the Byrd Meadowlark. Please holler if I can help you.
Mike
