Hard to do with a digital...as I was explaining to SMCFals in an unrelated matter. My camera requires two seperate buttons to be pushed for close macro shots. I seem to have forgotten that. :o :rolleyes:

BTW it is tonight still for me as I'm just about to go to bed (the sun is rising and it makes my skin smoke).

I absolutely love that Delica!!! :eek:
That's saying something, too. As normally I'll take inconspicuous over pretty any day of the week, and am normally not impressed with fancy knives. I've just never really been able to get over the fact that you're paying all that extra money for looks alone (most of which didn't appeal to me), but this one calls to me!! :D

I also love the Spyderkey and Mini Police. The first time I saw those, I just went "Awesome!" :p

I was skunked...I think the other nine guys caught a few though...threw them all back in the interest of good sport. Not great fishing, but if half the river wasn't private land it would certainly be a national park.

I did see a black bear on the river bank, and a mountain lion did a drive by in our camp one morning! I also saw geese, ducks, 2 kinds of cranes, ravens, muskrats, eagles, deer, turkies, rabbits, and slow elk (cows :D ).

I think the sheath design is inadequate for any sort of "adventuring" beyond the pavement. The sheath material is great but having the knife "pop" out at randomn intervals is not something one wants when hiking or journeying on rubber rafts. The sheath needs a thumb break retainer system.:)

I reshaped a kydex sheath with my trusty Revlon 1875 Watt Chrome Styler blowdryer from wallyworld....just heat for 20 some seconds with the blade inside and crimp the "mouth" of the sheath a little ..... worked like a charm.... ;)

Well the Lagiuole is rare and expensive, not to mention rarely in great condition when it comes up for sale. I also didn't appreciate the original French design until I saw a TV special about the originals.:cool:

The Hossom is light and agile, perfect for soft targets IMO. The Fat Fusion Battle Mistress is good for chopping heavy wood or targets wearing plate mail. :D

Thanks Daniel, just blowing the dust off the old pics I took before the Picture subforum existed. Need to get back into the habit. I guess all my free time was with my new child, but she just learned how to walk, so that means I won't need to watch her as much right? :D

Thank you very much for such a great treat. So many great pictures in one day. I didn't see that many for a while. I love your Ronins, Shabaria, Lums, Volpe. B&W Perrin is amazing. Gold MOP is the one of the best Kopa pictures I ever saw.

If I remember correctly that is the Model 2. I'd like to have that handle and the American Bowie style blade. That would be :cool:

The second one is "semi-custom" because someone ordered it with a different model handle. At the time, I really liked fighters so it seemed like an easy buy. This was before the Randall madness of the last few years...

Wow thanks guys! I was trying to organize all my digital pics and when I looked in the Volpe folder I thought it was a pretty good selection. Based on the comments, I guess I was right. :o

The Volpe seems to be quite photogenic...it must be the hotblooded Italian in it.

One thing I'm learning is if you take a mediocre picture and make it black and white it seems to look better... :p

You know Zen I was looking at your pics....and you really do need to get one of those Polaroid Land Cameras, or a really good Kodak Instamatic (110 film) it should improve your shots greatly, just point and shoot. The cameras you seem to be using probably have too many dials to adjust and filters too many things to figure out lighting and distance and things...etc. and all of that can make you real crazy and take all the joy out of taking pictures of things you love. So just get one of those disposable cameras and have a ball...You go guy!!! Snap away and make it real!.....I would have enjoyed you last batch of photos if they weren't so (how you say) BLURRY!!!!:pDoc:D:D
