Just finished this hoping to have the thinnest CJ (ZDP)with titanium handles. Tom Krein reground the blade thinner and shorter to less than 2 1/2 inches for discrete carry.Got it together but still lookinf for a thinner bronze washer.Got nylatron for now. 1/4 inch thick and blade is 2 1/2 inches, overall is barely 6 inches. Working on a pocket clip. What do you think??

Looks nice. It looks like the back two pins are sticking way out in the first picture though.

Yeah, had just finished it and did not tighten the pin. Got it now, though.I thought of countersinking the holes to hide pins a bit, maybe later. Handles are only .060 inches think, though. Blade centers well. Rough brushed finished the handles for now.

Your right ! I still have two unmodded CJs. Here's a comparison. Even smaller than I thought as I never compared them. Spydie logo was ground out.What do you think? Thanks.

I notice you did away with th 50/50 choil, and went with a finger groove -- I take it that's a strong preference for you? Or, was it due to the shortening of the design?

It looks like it would dig kind of uncomfortably into your hand while gripping it, any problems with that?

I really prefer holding on to the handle only and not touch the blade. Thin as it is, I did round out the handles a bit to be more grippable and not really intended for heavy use, it is still comfortable to grip. This is easiliy adaptable to scale addition if preferred, but I like it the way it is. This is my fourth( lost the first one, and the others came with help from STR) mod as I really like the CJ design. Right now thinking of how to convert my next to a framelock as this design has the pivot hole really far back on the blade. If this was closer up the sharpened area it would really help the blade to handle ideal ratio, I think. Can anybody point me to where to get really thin PB washers?

Especially the slightly different blade profile, a bit more belly.

I think I would prefer steel to Ti for liners that thin, although the potential for colouring is attractive and I imagine its light as a feather. Did you actually reduce the thickness of the blade at the ricasso, too?

I would also have such a preference for keeping the surface clean that I would have opted for rivets finished as flush as possible, rather than screws.

That said, great outcome.

I am going to see about sinking the holes lower a bit, don't have too much depth to go too low though. Or I could always add scales but so easy to edc this thin!Thanks for the compliments.
