Hey, just signed up for this last.fm thing and I thought I would check to see if any forumites were using it already (I tend to be on the back end of these trends you see)... if not, I would highly recommend it. Basically, it just charts your listening habits and those of other users, provides recommendations, ratings for songs, and detailed information on whatever you might be listening to. It doesn't record source information on mp3's, so no worries on RIAA interference for any of you who might show pirate-esque tendancies, and its free. If you are interested you should check out www.last.fm and give it a try. It takes about a week for some of the features to become active (for instance, it can rate your music compadibility with other users or provide you with users who have high rates of compadibility with you), but after that it is too much fun.
