I was taking some pics of the notch on my factory seconds Spyderfly for the Deacon and thought I would share a couple with you.

Why is that a second???:confused:

I can't tell, is the edge bevel a little off on that? That's the only thing I see wrong.

if only Bali-songs weren't so reviled by the community at large i would have one of those in my collection. i just can't buy me a knife i can't carry but damn is that a beaut.

I think that the hinges have too much play in them. It is too loose and the spine touches the rim of the handle slot when it closes. I've tried to tighten it but can't. It's not a problem and doesn't imped the action at all. It's just not up to the normal Spyderco perfection.

Ya. I can't carry mine off my property but it make a great gardening knife at harvest time. :)

Awesome pics! I would definately get one if only it were a little shorter in blade length. Anything over 3.5 inches is concealed weapon here, but as far as I can tell, Autos and Balis under that are legal.

That remindes me, when is the small fly coming out? I just saw a pic of it on Ted's website, and dang, it looks cool.

Excellent pictures of the Spyderfly Sean! Thanks again for the use of the one showing the notch, it's a worthwhile addition to SPY-101.
