I was perusing the Boker Catalog today, hoping for some sign of DAYWALKER's SFB, and I happened upon this sexy thing.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c43/smcfalls13/112006DAMASCUS.jpg

Here's the description:

"Masame Tsukuri" is the Japanese term for forging Damascus steel like wood grain. In Europe, it is called "Wild Damascus", which is used for the first time for this special annual knife. The structure is a natural result of the forging process, rather than an embossing die (tool). The connoisseur of the international cutlery industry will recognize that we used the patented Spyderhole®. Our friends at SPYDERCO in Colorado granted exclusive permission to use it for our annual Damascus knife. That you, Spyderco! Specially selected 300-year-old root wood from a nut tree, air-dried 10 years, is equivalent to our standards for an exclusive collector's series. Presented in a wooden gift box. Limited to 999 pieces worldwide. Overall length 7". Blade length 2 3/4". Weight 4.8 oz.

Looks there are still companies other than Spyderco who give credit where credit is due. This is one sexy collaboration. I'm not going to tell you what it costs though

Even if it is a liner lock, I want one

I assume you haven't had good experiences with Boker? I'll admit I've only owned 3 or 4 Boker knives(not counting the multiple SFs I have) but all have been excellent in my opinion. Their low end line is surprisingly well built for the price.

I wish ;)

Yes this is correct i have had very little good experience with Boker. I have found they have very pore edge retention as well as they are normally quite expensive for a knife that should only be a third of the price.

I have been searching everywhere today for the Subcom F but the only place I found is here but I am not sure they really will have it in stock.

LOL...I figured you of out of all of us would be the one to like this one. ;)

I seriously want this one, I just have to find a way to pay for it first :o

I ended up finding the SFB(should have been on the cover, in my opinion), that was easy, finding some way to keep myself patient while waiting for them, is another thing entirely

True, I'll definitely say they are a little pricey, but they do have a few models that are excellent. Quality control is very hit or miss with them, so I've heard. The German made models are supposed to be top notch, with the others(USA, Argentina, China) lagging behind.

I have had good experience with their Magnum line though.

I wanted one too...however, when i saw the price tag. WHOA  I SO had to pump the brakes!!! However, after reading it's materials description, the price didn't seem AS cruel, but it still hurt. :o

SFBs are supposed to be released in April, but that's thirty days of April, so I don't know exactly when, but theres one with my name on it :p
